Abandoned Kansai 
Well this brings back memories!,I used to work as a dispatcher for the fire dept, just under the control tower cab back in the mid 80s.I had no idea the base had been closed but I remember many days of the lovely countryside there and yes ,…….the frequent nasty weather as well.Thanks for the photos ,I think I may have some from my tour there but god knows where they are,It would be interesting to see some before and after pics.
If you ever have time to find, scan and send me the photos… About once a year I have the chance to go back to Sembach and I’d love to take some current photos based on your older ones.
