It seems crazy looking back 42 years walking through the fence we lived upstairs of the kitchen area. we all seemed to order at a little food take out just off base. we we’re American’s we could have American food anytime but they had the best German food around and was real close. It looks so bare it was always well manicured you didn’t know when an officer or General would walk in for lunch. Thank You for my trip down memory lane. I have thought about this place in my life for a lot of years. I’m glad that the world is in a place that these bases are no longer needed. Steven Whiteside Commander VFW Post 4837 Marlette mich
