The Upside Down House, some strange structure welded onto a truck. Not sure if it was ever moved. Not with the staircase on the side, that’s for sure. The earliest StreetView is from 2013 and it was already abandoned back then. Quirky little thing. Enjoy.

very nice and interesting, I very much wonder why its upside down though, and not regular?
Unfortunately I don’t know anything about this novelty accommodation, so I can only assume that it was built as that – a novelty.
I wonder if it was an art project that was possibly abandoned as i’ve seen similar ideas here in the UK
Oh, that sounds like an interesting idea! Yeah, maybe somebody just challenged themself to create something really unusual.
Comments have also dwindled to nothing on my blog — I feel your pain. But this house is really amazing!
It’s a bit disheartening, isn’t it? I don’t need a (participation) trophy for everything I do – and I live in Japan, where not getting yelled at has to be appreciation enough. But something in the middle would be nice… 🙂

Haha! Love this crazy little upside down house. Wonder if people are mostly commenting on the things people post on Reddit these days.
Reddit, Facebook, and X – preferably ragebait. I don’t want to play those stupid games… Sure, I could throw in a story about racism or overtourism or the true soul of Japan with every article, but I’m not a bullshitter. I do it occasionally when it fits the location or recent events in my life, but not every time for attention-whoring.

nice :). i feel like i seen a picture of this contraption before somewhere when it was in a better state, but thats been ages haha
there indeed seems to be, or was, some kind of issue with the last post, i did read it and wanted to leave my usual comment, but it just didnt let me. i was getting weird errors such as “cannot be posted due same comment already being posted” and other such stuff, was pretty weird.
Looks like WordPress got it under control again… hopefully.
I really appreciate the comments – I always enjoyed the feedback and some back and forth. Just yelling into nothingness is kinda boring…
